As Business Development Intern - for the UK & North American Market (f/m/x), you have the chance to support, learn and grow for 6 months with the venture Makula, one of the NBT portfolio companies, and get to know the startup world.


Makula

Makula is developing a new services 4.0 technology that provides small and medium-sized machine manufacturers (SMEs) with an easy-to-use and secure After-Sales Service platform designed to ensure continuous operation despite internal and external uncertainties. It thereby enables small and medium-sized manufacturers to digitalize their internal processes as well as their customer-focused maintenance services without having to invest in developing their own solutions.

Job requirements

The Role

You will play a crucial role in increasing the company's commercial activities to accelerate its growth with a focus on the UK & North American Market. You will contribute to building the company's infrastructure and processes and conduct research to validate hypotheses and market trends and analyze competitors' activities. In doing so, you will work hand-in-hand with Makula's founders and NBT's core team.

Job Requirements

  • Prospect, identify and generate new opportunities via cold calling, email, phone, Linkedin, etc. to build a pipeline of targeted prospects for the UK and North American market

  • Manage sales pipeline through sequential states of the sales process: prospect, initial outreach, product demo, negotiation and closing

  • Take a consultative approach with c-level executives while navigating multiple decision-makers

  • Conduct competitive analysis and gain business insights for the UK & North American market

  • Design and execute email and (social media) marketing campaigns that build the brand, drive user engagement and generate new business leads

  • Assist in the research and presentation of new product features


Qualifications

  • You are completing or have just completed your studies and are available for a 6 months internship

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing in the English language

  • Solution-oriented approach and the ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems in a timely and effective manner

  • Self-motivation and a strong willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication skills in English, ideally on mother tongue Level

  • Strong multitasking skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
